About Us

We were born and raised in beautiful Borgloon, Belgium. In the late 2000’s we started taking our holidays all over the US. After taking several vacations visiting this beautiful country we began to fall in love with the thought of living here. A few short years later, our dreams came true and we won the opportunity of a lifetime, the green card lottery. In 2014, we packed up our lives and waffle iron and moved to sunny Tucson, AZ where the weather is hot or very hot. And we love it. So much that we became citizens in 2020!

In the US, a waffle is thought of as a breakfast item, whereas in Belgium we can eat them anytime, day or night. In Belgium, a “4 uurtje” or a 4 o’clock is an old tradition where people gather around the dinner table for a cup of coffee and some sweets like a piece of cake, a pancake (crepe) or a waffle.

After trying several places claiming to have Belgian waffles, we knew we needed to show our fellow Americans what a real Belgian waffle looks and tastes like.

We have finally realized our dreams of doing so by creating Belicious Waffles, Belgian, Authentic and Homemade. After fine tuning our recipe we created the perfect Belgian waffle and we are proud to say we bake every batch from scratch with fresh ingredients and toppings from authentic Belgian ingredients.

They are delicious. And because they are Belgian, we call them Belicious !
